If you only read one thing today make it this
Most of us would happily avoid failure if we could.
It can feel uncomfortable, frustrating and sometimes even embarrassing. Whether it is a missed opportunity, a goal that did not work out or a decision we wish we could change, failure often feels like proof that we got something wrong.
Yet what if failure is not a sign that you are moving in the wrong direction? What if it is actually giving you valuable information that success alone cannot provide?
The people who achieve meaningful things in life are rarely the people who avoid failure altogether. They are often the people who learn how to use failure as feedback rather than seeing it as a final result.
A setback can reveal where you need to adjust, what skills you need to develop or which approach needs changing. Sometimes the thing that feels like a disappointment is actually pointing you towards a better path.
I created this article and video called "6 Ways Failure Is As Important As Success" because changing the way we view mistakes can completely change how we move through challenges.
Instead of asking, "Why did this happen to me?" a more empowering question can be, "What can this teach me?"
See why failure is more valuable than you think
Failure can build resilience because every time you recover from something difficult, you prove to yourself that you are capable of handling challenges.
It can also deepen compassion. When you understand your own struggles, you become less likely to judge others for theirs. You realise everyone is learning, adjusting and finding their way.
Perhaps one of the greatest gifts failure offers is that it helps you become kinder to yourself. Perfection becomes less important and progress becomes the focus.
You do not need every attempt to work perfectly. You only need to keep learning from each experience and continue taking the next step.
The six ideas I share may help you see past disappointments through a completely different lens.

The next time something does not go according to plan, pause before criticising yourself. There may be a lesson hidden inside that moment that helps you create a stronger future.
Failure is not always the opposite of success. Sometimes it is the training ground that prepares you for it.
I think you will find this perspective encouraging, especially if you have been carrying disappointment from something that did not work out.
Embrace what you can learn, make adjustments where needed and keep taking the next step forward, even if it’s a small one.
See you again soon.
