If you only read one thing today make it this
Have you ever had a subtle feeling inside that seemed to be trying to get your attention... yet life was simply too busy for you to really listen?
Perhaps it was a gentle nudge telling you to take a different path, spend more time on something meaningful or simply slow down and be present with your life.
In the busyness of everyday life, it can be surprisingly easy to lose touch with that deeper part of ourselves. Our schedules become full, our minds become busy and the constant focus on doing can leave very little space for simply being.
Today I’m sharing a conversation with you that beautifully reminds us how important it is to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and listen to those gentle inner whispers that can guide, inspire and encourage us.
The article features an interview with Jodi Chapman, a bestselling author and inspirational writer who explores how life can change when we begin listening more closely to our inner wisdom.
Although this interview was originally published several years ago, the reflections shared are still valuable today. Many of us are still searching for ways to feel more connected, more grounded and more aligned with what truly matters.
One of the ideas I found especially meaningful is the importance of creating moments of stillness where we can hear ourselves more clearly. Sometimes the answers we are looking for do not arrive through more information or more effort. They appear when we make space to listen.
The post also includes a beautiful video titled "Dreams are Whispers from the Soul by Marcia Wieder", which adds another thoughtful perspective on paying attention to our dreams, inner guidance and the possibilities waiting within us.
As you read through the conversation, you may find yourself reflecting on your own journey, your own dreams and the gentle nudges you sometimes receive yet do not always follow.
Explore the deeper questions waiting within you
Jodi’s work encourages us to consider what happens when we stop ignoring that inner voice and begin making choices that reflect who we truly are. It is not about having a perfect life or knowing every answer. It is about becoming more aware, more present and more willing to honour the person we already are.
I also love that this conversation explores the balance between achieving and simply being. There is nothing wrong with creating, achieving and moving forward. Those things can be wonderful parts of life. Yet they become much more fulfilling when they are connected with our deeper values and what brings us genuine meaning.
When we reconnect with ourselves, we often begin noticing things we may have overlooked before. We may become clearer about what energises us, what no longer feels right and what small steps can bring us closer to a more authentic life.
Jodi continues sharing her wisdom through her writing and books, helping others explore personal growth, connection and living with greater awareness.

You may also notice a familiar title among her books because I was fortunate to contribute to 365 Ways to Connect with Your Soul. Being part of that project was a beautiful reminder of how many different ways we can pause, reflect and reconnect with ourselves. It was created to inspire readers to discover their own unique path.
Whether you think of it as connecting with your soul, listening to your intuition, following your heart or simply becoming more aware of yourself, the invitation is the same:
Make a little space. Slow down. Listen. Notice what your inner wisdom may be trying to show you.
I hope this conversation gives you a few moments of inspiration and perhaps even a question or two to reflect on as you continue your own journey of growth.
Take some time to explore the interview and notice what thoughts, ideas or reflections speak to you. You may discover a question you have been avoiding, a reminder you needed today or simply a new perspective to carry with you.
You never know when a single idea, question or reminder may arrive at exactly the right moment.
Sometimes the next step forward does not begin with doing more. It begins with becoming more connected with where you already are.
